We provide Short Term, Supported Accommodation for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, for those over the age of 25.
The aims of the service at this present time is to ensure that people who are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness receive appropriate support whilst residing in short term accommodation. This will improve their independence, personal resilience, health and wellbeing. They will then work towards managing their own tenancy and prevent representation as homeless.
We provide support in 15 different areas, altering and adapting to suit an individual clients needs. Support is provided to the client from their first day at Cumbria Gateway, until their last.
Clients are expected to attend set appointments throughout the week and work through their agreed plan/goals with their allocated Support Worker. Support sessions are held in our Main Office on Lowther Street and appointments are made between the hours of Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00.
